Villa College has signed a cooperation agreement with the Huawei ICT Academy to collaborate in the field of information technology, the institutions said.

The deal was signed by Dr. Ahmed Anwar on behalf of Villa College and Chen Keyang, head of Huawei Maldives, representing the ICT Academy.

Under the terms of the agreement, Villa College will receive technological assistance from Huawei’s ICT Academy. A key component is the provision of smart classrooms at the college campus, Villa College said. The smart classrooms aim to create a modern and advanced learning environment for students.

Villa College expects the smart classroom installations to increase student engagement and positively impact academic performance. Additional teaching resources facilitated by the partnership are also anticipated to save time and expenses for the institution.

The signing ceremony was accompanied by a panel discussion on information and communications technology.
